Advent Tech and Siemens Energy Ink Pact To Decarbonize Maritime Sector

Advent Technologies Holdings, a US-based firm developing, manufacturing, and assembling complete fuel cell systems, declared that its subsidiary, Advent Technologies A/S, has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Siemens Energy.     

 

The recently signed JDA frames the joint effort between Advent and Siemens Energy, consolidating Advent's HT-PEM power device 50kW modules using its imaginative Ion-Pair™ membrane electrode assembly (MEA) innovation with Siemens Energy's electrification and automation solutions for hybrid and electric vessels.

 

The objective is to foster an incorporated 500kW High-Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cell solution for oceanic applications and then assess downsizing/upgrading the framework to fit market necessities from motor and Giga Yachts to ferries and compartment/business ships.
