In October, the South Korean tech giant said it is preparing new 3D structures for sub-10-nanometer DRAM, allowing larger single-chip capacities that can exceed 100 gigabits, as per economic times.
In 2013, Samsung brought 3D vertical NAND flash memory chips to market for the first time in the industry. In the mean time, the worldwide semiconductor industry's income declined 8.8 percent in 2023 because of a lull in big business and shopper spending.
Computer based intelligence gave positive news to the semiconductor business, arising as a vital substance and income driver, particularly in the last part of the year, as per Contradiction Exploration.
Samsung was impacted by the memory market log jam in both Measure and NAND sections, revealing a 38 percent YoY decrease in its income. Soft demand in the PC, server, and smartphone markets, in addition to market-wide oversupply and excess inventory, primarily impacted the memory market.
